New blog

The new blog is ready! It took a bit longer than expected but I think everything is working now. The only thing that still needs some work is for me to receive emails when a comment is awaiting moderation, so please be patient if I don’t accept your comments right away.

Here is the new address: Songes de poupées !

I hope to see you there! ^_^

No I’m not moving… not yet. But the blog is!

I’ve been planning that for quite some time, I’m moving the blog to its own hosting and a “real” wordpress. This will allow, among other things, to have the three different languages in one place. Yoohoo! I imported all posts and comments from those blogs into the new one yesterday. It was a lot of work to reorganize all this inside the multi-language blog. ^^; But I think the biggest part of the new blog is set up now. In the meantime I’ve disabled comments here on old posts, so that people can’t post new comments that would be lost (i.e. not in the new one). The present blogs will stay, but I’d like all activity from now on to move to the new one.

There are still a few things to change before it is viewable, please wait a little. I’ll update here with the new address as soon as it’s ready (or ready enough to be used, even if some tiny details still need editing).

I’m in Kansai for almost a week. Of course some of the little ones came with me. ^^ Hopefully you’ll see some pictures of them during their sightseeing. I’ll be checking my emails but I won’t have much time to write, so do not worry if you write to me and I take a little while to answer. Everything should go back to normal after the 26th. For those who might be interested in Dollshow items, you can still contact me of course, I’m going! 🙂

And now off to bed!

Boutique de poupées

Just a quick note to let you know that I opened a sales blog besides this dolly blog, so that I could advertise my sales. I have a lot of stuff here that has never been used and need to go. Most of the things will be sold on forums, but I like the idea of also having a place to centralize everything. So go check regulrarly as I will be adding more stuff! ^^

Here is the link: Boutique de poupées

You can also find it at the top of the right column.

Funny surprise

I went back to the Odeco & Nikki event today. I wanted to take part in the lottery, and it was the last day to do so. And I had the suprise to find Siu Ding there! For those who wouldn’t know here, she’s the one behind Ixtee. She’s really nice, I’ve had the occasion to meet her a few times before while she was in Japan (for the Dollshow). I didn’t know she was in Japan now. She almost scared me: I was looking at something and suddenly I felt something jumping in my back. I turned and saw it was her! They’re in Japan for a few days for some holidays. She heard about the deconiki event and since she likes those dolls (it seems she has many) she thought she would go see it. They took some pictures, you should go check her Flickr maybe she will upload them later.

Saddly she won’t be here at the next Dollshow, there have been problems with her application. But she will come back at the end of April for another event. Their common brand with Momolita, Mottee, should be launched in April. I can’t wait to see what they will create! The drafts I got a glimpse of when I last saw Momolita-san were very exciting. 🙂

In Flickr-oriented news, one of the friends I was with today took a panoramic picture of the Mike Odeco-chan & Nikki (the one of a kind dolls). I don’t have it right now, but as soon as I can I will get a copy and upload it on Flickr. 🙂

And just to let you know, I went to the Momoko Ninita event on Monday, and have lots of pictures and news to share from there (future releases!!). Some of you probably already saw them on Japanese blogs. I’ll talk about it as quickly as I can.

I received those clothes some time ago from a French doll collector, Pistache. She knew I liked gingham, so she sent me those. Isn’t it adorable? I was very happy. ^^ Thank you very much Pistache!! Sadly I haven’t have time yet to try them on my girls and take pictures…

16 things about me

Those of you who are on Flickr will recognize the meme that is currently spreading there. I thought it could be intersting to add my answer to the meme here on my blog.

So, here are 16 things about me:

1. I love reading and I love books.
2. I love eating. But I hate cooking my meals when I’m alone at home. I generally end up eating something basic very quickly.
3. I feel younger than I really am. I get mentally stuck at one age for several years. Think it began at 17, I felt like seventeen for like two or three years. Then at 20 I felt like 18 or 19, etc.
4. I never had any pets but I love cats.
5. I want to have children.
6. I love corduroy.
7. I look a lot like my mother. And it’s not only about looks, but also the way I speak and act. It’s scary.
8. Once I start something I’m usually quite efficient, but sometimes it takes me a long time to actually start.
9. I’m very girly for some things, and very un-girly for others.
10. I wear very little make-up, and not everyday. Usually my hair and face is natural. The only time I went for a full make-up was for my wedding (and it looked good! 🙂 ).
11. I was part of a pop-rock band at school, and I really miss it… :s
12. I don’t like being cold. Especially if it’s cold and humid (the good thing about winter in Japan is that it’s dry). My hands and feet and nose are always cold in winter.
13. I like to organize, sort and list things.
14. My friends and family are very very important to me. I love them a lot. My feelings for them don’t fade, even when I don’t see them very often (which is the case now, being in Japan)
15. I have a problem with long distance communication: email, letters… I want to write and send them but I don’t do it as often as I should, even though I think of the people I care for a lot. Which is a problem with number 14, because people might think I forget them.
16. I love living in Japan right now, and I don’t want to think of the day I will have to leave. 😦
